Qualcomm will make quad-core processors available in low-cost smartphones with two new models.
Qualcomm has been on the market with their Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor in the majority by 2012, and has previously announced cheaper editions of top products.
But now they come with two cheap variants of their recently announced the Snap dragon S4 quad-core version, which, among other things, is to be found in LG’s Optimus G.
The two new quad-core processors are named MSM8225Q and MSM8625Q, both products will form a part of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Play series that addresses the needs of low-and mid-range smartphones, write our site.
Thus can we in future expect to see quad-core processors from Qualcomm not only in large animal top models, but also in the smaller price ranges.
